Loading...Just outside of Orchard, NE on the grounds of the Sht'uh Farm the 2012 Rogation Service was held to bless the fields, industry, wildlife/nature and the barn as future place of rest and relaxation. The service was well attended by parishioners, friends and we were blessed to have Bishop Barker leading the service. There was fellowship and a potluck supper afterwards as the day drew to a close.
Rogation is a tradition in the Episcopal Church dating back to as early as the 5th Century where we process outside in God's creation asking God to bless the land, the people, the animals and almost everything else in the words of The Great Litany in the Prayer Book.
